What if a student loses their card?
The card is immediately disabled and a temporary replacement is issued.  If someone attempts to use a disabled card, the system rejects it as an invalid card.

What if there is a fire?
in the event of a fire alarm, all access control devices automatically switch to open to ensure safe exit from all areas of the building.
