How Does it Work?

Working with your choice of identity card, EasyTrace Access Control is a flexible solution that can be tailored to your specific needs. Whether you need a complete solution or integration with an existing access control system we will work with you and any third party contractors to achieve a solution that works for you.

We are able to provide different options for access control to give you the various levels of security that you might require for your school. For example, Access control points may be provided at some/all of the following locations:

• Doors which allow entry to the building itself
• Internal doors between classrooms and/or corridors
• To control access to sensitive areas, such as staff offices

Each door selected for controlled access is fitted with an electronic locking mechanism, the style depending on the design of the door and its fitting. A card reader is placed at a convenient location adjacent to the door and a switch or second reader is located on the other side of the door.

Additional access control devices can be added and incorporated into your system at a later stage, giving you the reassurance that your solution is future proofed as your requirements evolve.

To open and release the door, an identity card is scanned and authorisation is gained from the main database.

This same system can also be used to control access to car park barriers and lifts.

All doors and users are managed from a single, secure, back-end database - Infinity - to provide whatever level of security you deem appropriate, minimising administration time and providing peace of mind regarding who is entering and exiting the premises.

Access Control system is an integral part of the fabric of your school building and we would therefore work with you and any building contractors to ensure that in the event of a power failure or a security alarm, all access control devices automatically switch to open to ensure safe exit from all areas of the building.
