Card Production
Card Production
EasyTrace offers two options for card production - a fully outsourced service, or everything you need to become self sufficient and manage your card production in-house.
Either solution allows the cards to be designed and produced using the student data available within the Infinity database and, for easy card management, EasyTrace have adopted a card production system that captures the unique identifier of a user onto and into the card when it is printed. It really couldn't be easier!
In-house Card Production
Using the EasyTrace Card Production system, it takes only two minutes to print each card.
In order to produce your cards in-house we supply you with:
- C5 Card Design & Creation Software – easy to use software that allows you to design and organise the look of your card yourself, and which can seamlessly integrate into the EasyTrace and MIS data you already have.
- A Webcam - easily integrates with the C5 software to capture student images.
- A full colour card printer - enables you to print each card on both sides in one pass, so is both cost and time effective.
- Printer cleaning materials - to ensure that the terms and conditions of the printer's manufacturer's warranty are met.
- Sufficient thermal transfer ribbons to print your initial batch of cards.
C5 software and the card printer can be installed on any nominated workstation with connection to the school network and MIS system. It does not require a dedicated workstation.
Card Design
Whichever solution you choose, card design is bespoke to meet your specific needs. You may select any colours, logos and images to use. Often the image of the cardholder and school logo form part of the design. Enrolment number is also often included to simplify administration and identification.
Capturing Photos
New photos can be captured using a digital camera or scanner, or can be downloaded directly from the MIS database.
Integration with other systems
Integration with third party applications, e.g. local transport companies and other community facilities (public libraries, leisure centres etc) may also be an option. Please contact us for more information.
