Library Systems


EasyTrace can integrate with a wide range of third party library systems enabling staff and students to use the same card for the library as they do to access other school facilities (eg for cashless catering, print management , e-registration etc).

Using one single card across the school delivers maximum security for your library and a straightforward solution for both staff and students. It also saves significant work for your library staff, as account information will be synchronised with the EasyTrace central identity management system (Infinity).

How does it work?
EasyTrace has developed the capability to integrate with all major school library systems, including:

  • Micro librarian
  • Heritage
  • Softlink (Alice and Oliver)

The library system remains as it is (so no need to change your established system), but users' information becomes linked to the Infinity database, allowing new users to be easily created and accounts to be updated. Any bar code system currently used in the library is retained and, if required, can be printed on to users' cards.

Nothing else changes - you have seamless integration, one card, one database of user details - all of which contribute to a smoother, and easier to administer, system at the school.
